MANAMA: Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) chief executive Dr Waheed Al Qassim met Bank of Jordan-Bahrain (BOJ)’s wholesale banking chief executive Salam Gamoah and discussed co-operation and support to the bank.
During the meeting, BOJ applied for BAB membership and also announced its support for the 100th anniversary celebration of Bahrain’s banking sector.
Mr Gamoah stressed the bank’s keenness to expand channels of co-operation with the financial and banking sector in Bahrain.
He praised the Central Bank of Bahrain’s support for the establishment of Bank of Jordan in Bahrain, and CBB’s efforts to develop banking legislation and attract investors.
He said BOJ’s new hub in Bahrain is in line with the strategic objectives of the bank.
He added that the bank’s customers can open external accounts in Bahrain, access trade facilities, deposit services and other diversified and integrated financial and investment products.
