A MOSQUE which was damaged in a fire yesterday will be repaired immediately, officials vowed.
No one was injured in the fire at Al Kahif Grand Mosque in Al Dair, and the Interior Ministry has launched an investigation to determine the cause.
“Thank God, there were no human casualties or injuries from the fire,” said Jaffari Endowments Council chairman Yousef Al Saleh in a statement.
“The council is keen to ensure the safety of all worshippers at the grand mosque.”
Upon his directives, council member Abdulmajeed Al Sitri visited the mosque and was accompanied by head of maintenance Hassan Khattam to assess the damage from the fire and prepare an official report for authorities concerned.
