Social media reports of the body of a child being found in Arad have been dismissed.
Muharraq police said this evening they found the remains of a dead animal when they visited the site.
"In response to what is being circulated on some social networking sites about finding the body of a child in the area of Arad, legal procedures have been taken," said a statement.
"A field inspection found the remains of a dead animal and there is no criminal suspicion in the incident," it added.
