TWO of Bahrain’s top music stars were recently selected out of 500 people to attend a key seminar in Europe.
Hip-hop artist DJ Outlaw and the kingdom’s first female RnB producer and composer Sarah Nabil – part of leading record label Outlaw Productions – attended the week-long production seminar in the south of France conducted by three of the top figures in the music industry.
The event was led by American record producer, rapper, singer, songwriter and DJ Timbaland, Grammy award-winning engineer Dave Pensado and one of the top mix engineers in the industry, Jaycen Joshua.
DJ Outlaw and Ms Nabil were picked by Mr Joshua to be amongst a group of 20 professional sound engineers and producers from around the world and were the only ones to be selected from Bahrain and the Middle East and North Africa region.
The seminar, organised by music production, mixing and mastering organisation, Mix With The Masters, had one of the biggest line-ups any of their seminars had ever seen.
The event was held at La Fabrique, a top-notch residential recording studio located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in an old, beginning-of-the-19th-century farm.
At the end of the seminar, participants received completion certificates.
