MANAMA: bWallet has expanded its international money transfer service to now include money transfers to bank accounts in the UK – all at the click of a button on smartphones.
Launched in 2018 by fintech enabler Arab Financial Services (AFS) in partnership with Batelco, bWallet is a leading digital mobile wallet and the first of its kind to provide peer-to-peer money transfer.
bWallet is running an offer until the end of this month, whereby users don’t have to pay transaction fees when sending money to the UK.
AFS chief executive B Chandrasekhar said: “bWallet’s superior and streamlined money transfer service has further expanded as part of AFS’ ongoing mission to deliver innovative solutions of choice to consumers.
“We are delighted with the addition of UK to our list of countries to which any mobile user can send funds to family members and friends and look forward to seeing the number of countries further grow in the coming months.
“This latest development is especially useful to parents whose children are studying in the UK – bwallet offers them a quick and economical method to send money. bWallet’s success to date is built on understanding and catering to the needs of its increasing customer base, further empowering them with new, innovative, technology-driven solutions.
“We are working closely with our partners of choice to add value-driven features that engage our customers and deliver further enhancements and convenience.”
