Dubai: A film documenting the impressive football career of the Argentinean prodigy will be showcased tomorrow in the United Arab Emirates.
The Cinema Akil in Dubai has acquired the exclusive rights to show the Diego Maradona a week ahead of all cinema outlets in the UAE.
The movie, which featured on the 2019 Cannes Film Festival was first released in the United Kingdom last June.
The documentary is produced and directed by Asif Kapadia, director of the widely acclaimed Senna and the Oscar-winning Amy.
The movie is drawn from more than 500 hours of unseen footage taken from the Argentinean Superstar’s personal archives.
The feature-long documentary delves into Maradona’s legendary legacy, including triumphs and interviews with him while he was living in Dubai and working as coach of Fujairah during the 2017-2018 season.
