Riyadh: The Arabic version of the new film related to late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud "Born A King" will premiere in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries on September 26.
The King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies will organise a press conference to announce details of the film which will be screened at Fox Cinemas in Saudi Arabia and other GCC movie theatres.
"Born A King" is a Spanish production directed by Agustí Villaronga and stars actor Abdullah Khaleel as the young Prince Faisal. Centre chairman Prince Turki Al Faisal and Spanish film director Villaronga will attend the press conference.
The movie takes us back to the 1920s to recount the early life of King Faisal, who was then sent to London, on a diplomatic mission, at the age of 13, to meet King George V and other senior British politicians, including Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Laurence of Arabia
The movie, which took almost 11 weeks to be filmed, was shot in Riyadh and London. It includes more than 80 Saudi actors, according to Okaz.
The cast also includes Ed Skrein, Hermione Corfield, Laurence Fox, James Fleet, Kenneth Cranham, Aidan McArdle and Dilyana Bouklieva.
