AN unforgettable ballet performance will grace Bahrain’s stage this Friday.
Dancers of Suzhou Ballet Theatre will present a series of ballet pieces such as Chopin’s poem, Tang Yin, The Nutcracker and Giselle at the Bahrain National Theatre.
The event is being held in celebration of World Tourism Day, in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzhou New Era Group, Suzhou Ballet Theatre was established in 2007. It was led by artistic directors Ying Li and Jiabin Pan who have created most of its works since its inception.
Members come from major ballet companies and dance academies in China and performances include a Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet, new productions of Coppelia, Carmen, Cinderella and Swan Lake, original productions of Legend of Beauty and Tang Yin, and countless other exceptional pieces.
Suzhou has received critical worldwide acclaim and established its legacy as a pioneer in Chinese ballet history for its performances in a variety of works ranging from classic, contemporary and modern.
