Safra Youth Centre downed Naim Youth Club 5-3 yesterday to take the lead in the 7th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres and National Clubs.
Ali Saleh shone brightest for Safra scoring four goals in the 14th, 17th, 23rd and 40th minutes and Hamza Abdulrahman added one in the 40th minute to seal victory.
Naim’s goals came from Mohammed Ashoor (15th), Maitham Mounir (33th) and Ali Abdulhassan (40th).
In the second game, Hamad Town Youth Centre and Al Wosta fought to a 3-3 draw in one of the most exciting matches of the tournament. Al Wosta led 3-0 in the first-half.
Al Wosta’s goals were scored by their captain Ahmed Abdul Rasool in the 15th and 20th minutes and Ibrahim Aman in the 13th minute. Hussein Al Qassab netted Hamad Town’s three goals (23, 24 and 40).
Meanwhile, Sa’ar Club routed South Sehla Youth Centre 4-1.
Scoring for the victors were Saleh Hameed (3rd and 19th), Hussein Al Omran (8th) and Al Sayed Adnan Al Abdulla (33th). South Sehla’s only goal was scored by Hussein Jassim.
