A LOCAL writer has released his second poetry collection, following an overwhelming response to his first book in 2017.
Born and brought up in Bahrain, Tajammul Kothari took his first steps into the literary world in 2013 with a blog, before he released An Ode to Life – a poetry collection that highlights the various stages of human life.
His latest literary offering, Unanswered Verses, focuses more on human emotion and matters of the heart, mind and soul.
“After An Ode to Life was well received by both readers and the media, I found the confidence and courage to write my second book,” said Mr Kothari.
“Written in a simple and lucid manner, the new book is divided into three chapters related to the attainment of peaceful bliss, love and worldly freedom.
“The book has a universal resonance for all readers as it explores the full gamut of emotions that one experiences in his/her lifetime.”
Speaking of his writing journey and his blog, he said he mostly wrote pieces on issues that affected society.
“As my reader base grew, I thought of experimenting with different forms of writing and I started with a simple poem which got a good response,” he added.
“Gradually, I felt confident with writing a book of poems of my own.”
Both of Mr Kothari’s books are available on Amazon, the first priced at $4 and his latest book is $1.30.
