A MAJOR highway will be closed for six months from today for maintenance.
Improvement of Zallaq Highway, between Gulf of Bahrain Highway and Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa, necessitates the closure of one lane in both directions in stages.
One lane will be provided for traffic movement in both directions.
Meanwhile, improvement work on Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway necessitates the closure of the slow lane near the Tubli flyover for eastbound traffic, leading to Umm Al Hassam.
The closure will continue until Sunday at 5am.
