Riyadh: Three hundred Saudi nationals have so far been evacuated from Lebanon due to the developments unfolding in the country.
Saudi Ambassador to Beirut Walid bin Abdulla Bukhari said the citizens who were evacuated included princes, VIPs and Saudi embassy employees’ families.
They were flown back home aboard planes from Saudi Arabian Airlines and Middle East Airlines. Princes and VIPs were evacuated aboard 20 private jets.
Bukhari said that the Saudi embassy had also evacuated Kuwaiti and Bahraini citizens.
The Lebanese army and security forces provided buses to transport people to Rafik Hariri International Airport from where they boarded the planes, according to Sabq.
