A FREE pre-Bahrain Jazz Fest event will headline Shera Duo featuring Esraa J tomorrow.
They will be joined by DJ Sparx who will offer his swirling mixes of jazz, blues and swing. The event will be held at Alto, Downtown Rotana in Manama from 9pm to 2am.
Exciting competitions will be held, offering a chance to win free tickets to the main festival day on November 1.
The festival will go cashless for the very first time with organisers adopting digital innovations such as mobile apps and integrating cashless payment for food, refreshments and merchandise.
“We have always considered our festival to be an experientially progressive one to include innovations and certainly have a festival for the future,” said Clockwork Professional Services festival principal and managing partner Jude D’Souza.
The show, now in its third edition, is increasing its stature on the events calendar with ticket sales reportedly ‘growing at around 300 per cent’ compared to 12 months ago.
Everyone attending the event will receive a RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip wristband on entry to the festival and can visit any of the four loading stations to add credit to their wristbands via cash, debit or credit card to purchase food, beverage or merchandise inside the venue.
The open-air event will feature 13 international and local jazz artists and is expected to attract more than 5,000 music enthusiasts from Bahrain and the region.
Taking place on the driving range of the Royal Golf Club golf course in Riffa Views, it is being promoted internationally by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and supported by the Economic Development Board. Visit www.bahrainjazzfest.com or follow Bahrain Jazz Fest on Facebook.
