Alosra Supermarket launches its first SuperValu Week today, highlighting a range of Irish products which celebrate the synergy of both Irish and Bahraini culture.
The event also sets the stage for a weekend pop-up market, showcasing local vendors as well as Irish suppliers flown in just for the event.
SuperValu is part of the Musgrave Group, Ireland’s largest grocery and food distributor, with whom Alosra signed a commercial deal earlier this year.
With 223 stores throughout Ireland, SuperValu has served the people of Ireland for more than 30 years and has become a well-established landmark across Irish communities.
Its reputation has been earned through its food quality, strong value offering, consistent support of local producers, expertise and customer service.
SuperValu Week hopes to showcase the high-quality and exclusive Irish products Alosra has to offer.
The week will be launched with a meet-and-greet with Musgraves and BMMI representatives and Irish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Gerard McCoy, followed by a store walk-through with interactive sampling of SuperValu products, special displays, and a traditional Irish dance at the Alosra branch in Najibi Centre, Saar.
Festivities will continue with a Supervalu Pop-up Market on Friday (Oct 25) and Saturday (Oct 26) showcasing the true taste of authentic Irish food products with Musgrave’s vendors coming in all the way from Ireland.
The market will also bring in a selection of local vendors being supported, highlighting Alosra’s continued commitment to its Think Local programme.
