KSA: Seven people have so far lost their lives due to the torrential rain which lashed the region of Hafr Al Baten.
Eleven other people were injured and 16 evacuated by the Civil Defence units which received 1,176 calls for help.
The Saudi meteorology authority issued a warning, cautioning against moderate to heavy rain, violent winds and bouts of hailstones.
It called on motorists to be cautious on the roads due to low visibility from 7am until 9pm.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence said that 40 cars and 3 houses suffered damages.
