Riyadh: Saudi women will now be able to have access to medical services without their guardians’ approval
Health Minister Dr Tawfiq Al Rabea issued an edict scrapping a previous regulation which obliged women seeking health services to obtain their guardians’ approval beforehand.
The edict was sent in a circular to all health affairs directorates across Saudi Arabia.
The new regulation makes it mandatory to obtain the patient’s agreement before any medical treatment or surgery, according to Almarsd.
