THE Second West Asian Girls’ Football Championship will open in Bahrain on December 29, the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) secretary-general Ibrahim Al-Bouainain announced last night after signing an agreement with West Asia Football Confederation (WAFC) secretary-general Asia Khalil Al Salem.
Bahrain, Jordan, the UAE, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Kuwait will take part in the championship which will conclude on January 6.
All the matches will be held at the Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa stadium at Muharraq Club.
The draw for the tournament will be held on November 29 at the headquarters of West Asia Football Confederation in Amman.
