I LIVE in Umm Al Hassam in an area where parking is hard to find and people try different ways and means to snare a parking spot. From using small wooden crates, flower pots, old chairs, traffic cones with chains. But this one takes the cake. This person has dug up the road and ‘planted’ these steel bars to ensure that the parking in front of his house is exclusively for him.
My question is – is this legal? The road is public property and could not possibly belong to the owner of the building as there is no wall around it. Also, there is no sign that says that parking is limited to tenants? Can I complain to the relevant authorities – the police as I am sure this is not legal? I really wish the authorities can clear this up.
