MUHARRAQ scored a narrow 5-4 victory in a penalty shootout over Bahrain Club last night to keep their title aspirations alive in the King’s Cup.
In another match, Al Shabab sailed past Sitra Club after a 1-1 draw.
But a point was sufficient for Al Shabab to progress as they had won the first-leg 2-0 on October 30.
With last night’s second-leg victories both teams qualified for the quarter-finals of this most prestigious tournament.
Muharraq will take on Galali in the last eight while Al Shabab clash with Al Hidd.
