BDF Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met Commander of the US Naval Forces and US Central Command and Commander of the US Fifth Fleet Vice Admiral James Malloy.
He praised the US Naval Support Activity in Bahrain and its significant role in carrying out defensive maritime missions and duties.
The BDF is continuing the process of co-ordination between the two countries, especially with regard to military co-ordination and defence co-operation, he said.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief inaugurated the International Maritime Security building and toured its various sections where he was briefed on the modern equipment and the advanced systems and techniques for securing waterways and maritime navigation.
