SEASONED culinary professional Domenico Cicchetti, who boasts more than 20 years of experience at international five-star hotels and fine dining restaurants, has been appointed as the new executive chef at the award-winning Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain.
He began his career at one of the leading Michelin star restaurants in his home country of Italy, moved to the UK to join Giardinetto in Mayfair, London, as sous chef, before taking on the top chef’s role at the celebrated Arch.
After working for several years in London, Executive Chef Domenico moved to Brazil before continuing his culinary journey to Asia, picking up several awards and accolades on the way.
His travels, he says, have 'substantially influenced' and allowed him to create flavoursome combinations, bringing 'original and unique qualities' to dishes.
“I look forward to delivering more creative recipes in Bahrain. I believe the food that I cook provides guests with both joy and satisfaction,” he added.
Mostly recently the father-of-two has been based at the five-star Hilton Beach & Spa in Ras Al Khaimah,UAE. He says he is delighted to be joining the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain at such an exciting time.
As reported on GDNonline, the hotel, located just across from Bahrain International Airport, has completely transformed its guest rooms and many public spaces following a multi-million dinar investment.
The hotel, which also features a Rimal Spa, was voted the Middle East’s Best Airport Hotel for five consecutive years by Skytrax Awards and the top ‘luxury airport hotel’ in the Luxury Hotel Awards 2019.
