Parliament Speaker Fouzia Zainal reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to the Palestinian people’s legitimate and inalienable rights to establish their independent state with Al Quds as its capital, on the basis of the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
She affirmed Bahrain’s categorical rejection of all forms of violations and assaults being perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people, describing the settlement construction as a flagrant violation of the international law and UN resolutions.
She said that Israel’s flagrant violations would impede efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region, reiterating Parliament’s support to the Palestinian issue at all regional and international parliamentary platforms. She was speaking as she received Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdulqader, who hailed the kingdom’s support to the Palestinian issue.
