MORE than 100 abstracts were presented at an annual research conference hosted by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) under the patronage of Supreme Council of Health chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
The abstracts covered topics such as the impact of vaping on human health, self-management and patient understanding of diabetes among the elderly in Bahrain and the impact of physician speciality on post-surgical medical management.
The event also featured a packed programme of oral and poster presentations and was attended by representatives from the UAE, Canada, Egypt, the US and the UK.
Those attending included RCSI Bahrain students and faculty, healthcare professionals and guests.
