Riyadh: GCC leaders will hold their 40th Summit on December 10, under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh, GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al Zayani said on Sunday (December 1).
The GCC ministerial council will hold a preparatory meeting for the summit on December 9 in Riyadh, he said.
The GCC leaders will discuss key topics to enhance co-operation and integration amongst member states in political, defence, security, social and economic fields, Al Zayani noted, according to a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency.
He added that the leaders will also focus on regional and international political developments, and the security situation in the region as well as their impact on the GCC states’ security.
Al Zayani expressed his confidence the summit will result in constructive decisions to bolster integration amongst member states.
