Bahrain’s Habib Sabah won the silver medal in the GCC Billiards and Snooker championship, being held in Muscat.
Sabah lost 4-6 in the final to Qatari Ali Al Obaidly, who clinched the gold medal.
He qualified for the final after beating Mohanna Al Obaidly 4-0, Abdulla Al Raissi 4-0, Saud Abdulrazzaq 4-2 and Khalid Al-Kamali 4-2, before prevailing over Bahraini Khalil Bouseef 5-2 in the semi-final.
Khalil Bouseef and Ibrahim and Ibrahim Bouquaed have already bagged two bronze medals for Bahrain in the championships.
Younis and Hesham Al Saqer suffered a setback at the beginning of the Masters singles, losing to Isa Al-Sayyed 3-0 and Ammmar Taqui 3-0.
In the billiards team competition, Bahrain went down 0-3 to Qatar (3/0). The team comprising Fahd Khalaf, Wael Al Qassimi and Ibrahim Al Qaed also lost to the UAE and Saudi by the same score before they beat Oman 2-1.
