A parade featuring women representing various nationalities and professions in Bahrain marked the opening of the two-day Womania Winterfest.
The festival, which opened yesterday at Adhari Park, was inaugurated by Y K Almoayyed and Sons managing director Mona Almoayyed.
It aims to celebrate womanhood in all its glory with the tagline, “why shouldn’t women have all the fun?”, and will run from 4pm to 10pm.
Food, entertainment, music, shopping options, games and competitions including a talent show are lined up alongside live painting sessions by artists of various countries.
It will also feature poetry presentations by poets from the Bahrain Writers’ Circle, free workshops by the Bahrain Women’s Association, and a panel discussion on ‘Challenges Women Face Today: Special Focus on Work Life Balance’ by prominent female speakers.
The event is being organised by CreaTree Services which will donate a part of the proceeds to the Children and Mothers Welfare Society.
