A three-month-long exhibition will continue to take visitors on a journey beneath the waves to meet the amazing creatures that inhabited the oceans 200 million years ago at a time when dinosaurs ruled the land.
‘Dive into the Jurassic’ at the Bahrain National Museum brings together immersive computer generated imagery (CGI) films with replica casts from the London-based Natural History Museum’s unique marine fossil collections, bringing the ancient seas to life.
The exhibition is designed to appeal to a large range of audiences with interactive elements, atmospheric soundscapes and touchable objects such as fossils and replica skins of marine life to provide visitors with a unique experience.
The exhibition is part of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ year-long 2019 programme ‘From One Jubilee to Another’ and its various activities celebrating Bahrain’s national holidays.
It is being generously supported by the British Council, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and GREAT through the UK-Gulf Culture and Sport programme to support and encourage new partnerships and collaborative projects between institutions in the United Kingdom and the Gulf.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until March 16, from 10am to 8pm, every day, except Tuesdays.
