SHAIKH Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef), yesterday met Bahraini showjumpers in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of the Showjumping Committee at Breef, his deputy Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ghalib Al Alawi, secretary-general of Breef, and Tawfiq Al Salehi, director of the Media Office and Information Centre of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and a member of the showjumping Committee.
Shaikh Isa conveyed the greetings of Shaikh Nasser, Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to the showjumpers, underlining that the Breef board of directors are constantly following showjumping contests in Bahrain and working tirelessly to improve the sport further.
From their side, the showjumpers expressed their utmost gratitude to the Breef president for his support and encouragement.
Among the suggestions provided was to hold the showjumping competitions on Saturdays instead of Fridays and also increase the prize fund.
It was also agreed to appoint Huda Janahi, Owner of the Horse Pride Company, as head of the marketing committee.
Janahi thanked Breef for the confidence shown in her and pledging her support to promote showjumping in Bahrain.
