MANAMA: Bahrain Business-men’s Association (BBMA) will host a plenary session on Tuesday on initiatives to develop the banking sector.
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Al Maraj will attend the session, to be held at the Capital Club, Bahrain Financial Harbour.
The event is part of festivities marking the centenary of the banking sector in Bahrain.
Leading economic figures, private sector leaders and other specialists will also attend the event which will focus on the future financial vision and latest economic developments.
BBMA chairman Khalid Rashid Alzayani said the event represents a good opportunity to get updated about CBB initiatives to boost the financial and investment sectors and bolster their roles in supporting the economic and trading sectors.
He stressed keenness to organise meetings and seminars with all parties concerned with economic affairs, during which ministers, officials and decision-makers are invited to engage in dialogue to reach the best results for the general interest of Bahraini merchants and the economy in general.
