We heard that as per Bahraini law no employer can keep the passport of their employees. There are a few establishments where they keep the passport saying it’s their company’s policy to do so, or it’s for safe keeping!
Anyone in the world knows how important the passport is hence everyone knows how to take care of their passport. Shouldn’t it be the law for everyone? How can any company have their own laws or policies other than the law of the country?
Kindly look into this matter as many employees suffer when a passport is not given back or asked to write reasons why the passport is required!
