MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received an invitation to pay an official visit to Pakistan.
He received a message from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, enclosing the invitation when he received at the BDF General Command Pakistani Ambassador Afzaal Mahmood.
The Pakistani Premier praised strong deep-rooted bilateral relations, as well as ways to bolster co-operation.
The King underlined steady growth in co-operation in all fields and expressed his appreciation for efforts by Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Khan to strengthen them.
The King separately received Pakistan Air Force Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar who praised His Majesty’s key role in boosting relations between both countries, mainly in the defence and military field.
