MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad yesterday praised the BDF for its vigilance and readiness to protect Bahrain.
His Majesty, the Supreme Commander, paid his tribute while he visited the BDF General Command.
He was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdulla Al Nuaimi.
The King was accompanied by National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander, Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
While receiving a briefing on the BDF’s development plans, the King stressed that BDF and its affiliates are a source of pride for Bahrain and its people.
His Majesty thanked all BDF personnel for their patriotic efforts in safeguarding Bahrain’s achievements as well as for their constant vigilance and readiness to carry out their duties, in light of rapidly unfolding developments in the region.
He affirmed that Bahrain always hopes that security and peace will prevail in the region and the world.
The King wished all BDF servicemen success in carrying out their noble duties.
