Riyadh: The border security authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle leopards from Yemen into Saudi Arabia.
Officers working in the eastern Jazan province arrested a number of smugglers and seized the wild animals which were hidden inside bags.
The smugglers entered Saudi Arabia on foot carrying the bags on their backs. They were referred to the authorities and the leopards placed in an animal reserve, according to Almarsd.
