Sustainable Energy Authority president Dr Abdulhussain Mirza yesterday met MP Mohammed Buhamood and outlined projects, programmes and plans which will contribute to a sustainable future regarding renewable energy and power efficiency.
He praised the MP’s initiatives and interest in citizens’ needs, as well as his keenness to consolidate the concept of sustainable energy through his role in the legislative branch.
Dr Mirza highlighted the authority’s efforts to develop the sector.
He stressed the importance of partnership between the legislative and executive branches to achieve national goals in various fields.
The GDN earlier reported Dr Mirza as saying that plans are in the pipeline to diversify sources of energy, as part of a two-pronged strategy to develop fossil and renewable energy.
He had underlined the authority’s drive to attract regional and international firms to invest in renewable energy projects in Bahrain which would benefit the national economy.
