BAHRAIN was chosen yesterday for the international launch of a superbike!
The Ducati Panigale V4 Dynamic Speciale was unveiled during a special event at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), where motorsport enthusiasts were given the chance to try out the bike on the race track.
Present were officials from Ducati and Wheels of Arabia along with members of the media and guests.
The 2020 version boosts performance even further and takes track riding to the next level for amateurs and pros alike, while a series of refinements make for an easier, more user-friendly and faster ride.
Wheels Of Arabia director Abdulrahman Almoayed said hosting the Press launch in Bahrain would help divert more attention to the country as a hub for motorsports in the region.
“The global launch happens when there’s a new model that’s being introduced to the line, usually they choose a destination from around the world, a track or a facility, depending on the type of bike to show journalists the potential of the bikes’ performance,” Mr Almoayed told the GDN.
Phenomenal
“These are all people from the Press so it’s great to get the name of Bahrain out there, we have a phenomenal circuit here (at BIC) that they can get exposed to.
“As far as Bahrain is concerned it’s fantastic to be the home of motorsports in the Middle East and to appeal to these kind of people.”
The Panigale V4 is also equipped with content taken from the V4 R such as the aerodynamic package which provides enhanced airflow protection and improves overall vehicle stability, enhancing confidence.
The front frame, instead, modifies stiffness to give better front-end ‘feel’ at extreme lean angles.
The new model also has a ‘predictive’ control strategy and the Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, which shortens up-shift times, allowing sportier high-rev gear shifts (over 10,000rpm) and boosting shift stability during aggressive acceleration and cornering.
The outcome is a bike that is easier to lay into corners, gets to the apex faster, soaks up any pits or ripples more effectively and behaves more neutrally out of the bend.
The new Panigale V4 has a starting price range of BD12,000 to BD13,000.
