Riyadh: Saudi Arabia said that it exercised utmost calm and restraint in the aftermath of the terrorist attack that targeted Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais last year on September 14.
“The attack was claimed by the Houthi militias but international investigations and UN reports have proven that it came from the north and not from the Yemeni territories”, said Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Abdullah bin Yahya Al Muallami.
He said that Yemen has recently witnessed successive efforts at the regional and international levels to reduce escalation and push confidence-building factors, which led to an improvement in the military, political and humanitarian situation during the last period.
He added that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues violating international resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 2216, citing the as the terrorist attack on a mosque in Ma'rib Governorate, which left dozens of people were killed and injured.
