Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, marking International Customs Day today, hailed the The World Customs Organisation (WCO) for its work.
“The Interior Ministry through Customs Affairs marks the day to evaluate achievements and build on them, also, to launch and evaluate initiatives following systematic, comprehensive customs work,” he said.
The system aims to simplify customs procedures, provide the best services and achieve the best practices through reinforcement of partnership with the private sector and business community.
As part of the economic vision of Bahrain 2030 that motivates government and private organisations to take practical steps to attract investments and eliminate obstacles facing investors and businessmen.
Customs Affairs has won international recognition by becoming one among the 30 members of the General Policy Committee of the WCO.
