A football academy representing one of the giants of Italian football is expanding its operation in the kingdom.
The Juventus Academy Bahrain will be operating on two fronts from Sunday after opening a second location on a brand new pitch in Um Al Hassam to complement its established base in Saar.
Academy director John Mackenzie said: “We’ve been looking for a perfect location to expand for two years and have finally secured a winner with a full-size pitch, changing room facilities and an easily accessible area off Kuwait Avenue.
“Our coach Jordan Stephens will be leading this exciting project and cannot wait to get started and welcome both current and new players to learn and develop at this fantastic new facility.”
The ground was unveiled last weekend with a soft opening hosting a 3 x 3 football competition.
The Juventus Academy Bahrain currently hold the GCC Juventus Cup following a series of competitive matches home and abroad against fellow academies based in Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
