This refers to “Asian businessmen treated like labourers by LMRA”. (GDN, March 21).
What is wrong with being a labourer? All jobs and vocations are honourable and deserve respect.
My first job was washing cars and I used to charge 500 fils per car. Does that mean I should be treated any less human?
You quote a tenant in the report. Who is he? He refuses an increase in house rent and has been in the honourable courts of Bahrain legally fighting with the Bahraini landlord against increasing the rent, even slightly, despite the rent being same for the past 20 years.
When it comes to LMRA, they treat everyone the same, be it Bahrainis or foreigners.
We all receive same treatment, which, of course, should be improved.
My experiences tell me that Bahrain treats all equally, foreigners and Bahrainis.
