GULF Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) went to the top of the table in the Companies and Establishments Football League following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) at the Alba ground in Riffa in the eighth week of the competition.
GPIC took their tally to 15 points while Bapco remain on six,
Mahmood Jameel scored GPIC’s first goal in the last minute of the first-half before Bapco striker Mohammed Saleh equalised in the 65th minute.
GPIC scored a second goal (72) through Ali Abdulla and a third by Mohammed Salem (75).
Bapco’s substitute striker reduced the gap in the 90th minute.
