THE fifth edition of the Bahrain Food Festival will be launched tomorrow offering visitors the chance to try dishes from scores of restaurants.
The annual event, organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), will be held over two periods and promises a range of events and activities at Bahrain Bay.
It will continue until February 29 and the second period from March 5 to 14 and includes the participation of more than 200 restaurants over the two periods.
Restaurants will be offering a wide range of delicious cuisines and the event will be open from Sunday to Wednesday, from 4pm to 11pm, and Thursday to Saturday, from 4pm to 12am.
It will feature a range of entertainment activities, a children’s play area, a traditional village offering local food and live cooking stations as well as live musical performances and fun competitions.
“The festival also provides an ideal opportunity for participating restaurants to showcase their products for a wide audience and gain popularity,” said BTEA chief executive officer Nader Almoayyed.
“With the overall aim of drawing more visitors from across the region, this event comes in line with BTEA’s strategy to continuously expand its calendar and variety of events and festivals held in the kingdom.”
Food options range from healthy and organic food to street food and gastronomic delicacies coming from various creative and diverse vendors.
