CAIRO: Foreign Ministers of Arab Ministerial Quartet Committee yesterday strongly condemned Iran’s continued interference in Bahrain and its support for terrorism.
Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani headed Bahrain’s delegation of the committee, which also includes Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt, in Cairo. Arab League secretary general Ahmed Aboul Gheit attended.
The ministers also condemned remarks by the secretary general of Hizbollah insulting Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen as unacceptable and dangerous.
The committee also denounced the continued Iranian and Turkish interference in the Syrian crisis and the serious implications this entails on the future of Syria, its sovereignty, stability and unity.
