The number of active cases of coronavirus in Bahrain has fallen to 87, according to the latest update on the Health Ministry’s webpage (9 March, 8pm) dedicated to Covid-19. It said 7,830 people had been tested of whom 7,743 tested negative. Of the 87 cases, 86 were stable and one was critical.
The Health Ministry said in a tweet that the recently announced active cases relate to inbound travellers who were quarantined as a precaution before testing positive for Covid-19. The individuals were quarantined upon arrival to Bahrain.
The ministry further added, "Only one case from these cases relates to an individual who was in contact with a returning traveller. Contact tracing has taken place in line with the Kingdom’s procedures."
