Dubai: One of the tallest buildings in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai lit up in the colours of the Italian flag, as a token of solidarity with the country, which is facing a devastating outbreak of the coronavirus.
The iconic skyscraper also featured the expression “Siamo con voi” – that is We are with you – which was beamed on the LED screen of the tower's facade.
Italy is the hardest-hit European Union member state, reporting more than 2,500 deaths and over 31,000 confirmed cases since the coronavirus broke in the country.
