Kuwait City: Kuwait has banned Ramadan Iftar meals as part of precautionary measures to combat the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The announcement was made by Justice and Endowments Minister Dr Fahd Al-Affasi and allowed for meals to be distributed to people without putting them at mosques, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
The minister also gave directives to ban all voluntary teams during Ramadan following the closure of mosques.
