CALLS to stay at home have been reiterated by Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh.
She said social distancing was necessary to curb the spread of Covid-19, which claimed a second life in Bahrain yesterday.
Commending the highly aware and educated community, Ms Al Saleh said people should only leave their homes if necessary.
“All precautionary measures have been taken and we put our faith in the fact that we have an educated community who will help to prevent the spread of the virus, with commitment,” she said.
“We urge your strict commitment to stay at home and leave only if needed.”
Meanwhile, she also revealed that discussions were underway on collaborating with the private healthcare sector.
“Private hospitals will provide necessary treatment for whoever would like to get it from private facilities, once procedures are completed,” she said.
“Now we have free Covid-19 treatment for all and the involvement of private sector came in after co-ordinating with some hospitals that were willing to support and expressed their desire.”
