MANAMA: Ebdaa Bank for Microfinancing has announced the implementation of remote working system for its employees in administrative departments.
This is in addition to a flexible work system that allows employees in customer service departments to shorten working hours by half, in line with the national directives aimed at tackling coronavirus in Bahrain.
The bank also announced that women employees will be granted additional benefits related to work remotely or flexible work, in response to the relevant royal directives and support of the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women in this framework.
Chief executive Dr Khaled Al Ghazzawi said this trend at Ebdaa Bank comes in implementation of the directives of chairwoman Mona Almoayyed, within the framework of tightening precautionary measures and the government’s national campaign to combat the coronavirus.
“Ebdaa Bank’s priority today is to maintain the safety of employees and their families while ensuring the workflow in the bank and providing services to borrowers, and the bank worked to activate the business continuity plan and implement technical solutions that enable employees to work remotely or work flexibly safely and effectively,” Dr Al Ghazzawi said.
“The bank granted special benefits to the employed woman to fulfil her family obligations, especially with many having to take care of their children who are currently committed to staying at home while providing them with necessary mechanisms to be able to work from home to ensure that the daily work of the bank is not affected.”
