A MEDICAL centre in Jidhafs has announced it has disinfected its premises after it emerged a Covid-19 positive patient had visited.
Dar Al Hayat Medical Centre said it was informed by the Health Ministry that the person who tested positive had visited the GP clinic on March 21.
It added that through collaboration with the Public Health Directorate immediate measures were taken to close down the infected zone, while arrangements were made to test all medical and non-medical staff – all of whom tested negative.
“However, as a precaution, measures were taken to quarantine all concerned staff for two weeks,” it said in a statement.
“Further, all our clinics will remain open in the centre and we would like to take the opportunity to announce that the centre has been sanitised in accordance to health guidelines.”
Addressing queries in the comments section of its Instagram page, the centre reassured the public that the person did not interact with other patients following a review of their CCTV footage.
