THE Traffic Directorate has released posters on precautionary measures to be taken while using public transportation.
It explained the need to maintain social distancing, while alternate seats on public buses have stickers saying not to use it, in order to separate passengers.
“Commitment to procedures contributes to the national efforts to prevent the spread of the virus,” it said. “Keep social distance with other passengers in buses, shared transport and taxis.
“Wearing masks and hand sanitising is a must, before stepping in and out of the vehicle.” Owners of the buses, vans, public buses and shared transport have also been urged to continuously sterilise their vehicles. Suspicious cases must be reported to the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 hotline 444.
