Kuwait City: Kuwait's Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 80 people were infected by the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's total to 1,234.
During its daily briefing, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad revealed that 29 patients were in intensive care, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The number of those currently receiving treatment at hospitals in Kuwait have reached 1,091, said the spokesperson, adding that 313 individuals have completed their quarantine in the last 24 hours.
The country has reported one death so far.
